Yvonne’s journey to the legal profession is deeply rooted in her unique upbringing and her enduring passion for service. Born on a Navy base in Maine, Yvonne’s early years were shaped by her experiences as a Navy brat, living in diverse locales across Europe, Southeast Asia, and the U.S. This global upbringing instilled in her a deep appreciation for different cultures and perspectives.

Her commitment to helping others began in earnest when she joined the Navy after high school, training as a Russian linguist and serving in Turkey. There, Yvonne not only embraced new cultures but also leveraged her skills to assist and support those around her, reflecting her innate desire to make a difference.

During her Navy service, Yvonne met her husband, a Marine linguist, and together they raised three children in a nurturing environment that was a testament to their shared dedication to service. Their family has since grown to include four grandchildren, two dogs, and three cats. Yvonne’s passions for reading, traveling, history, and politics continue to inspire her pursuit of positive change and lifelong learning.
